We present pictures of the dozens upon dozens of
American Diabetes Association (ADA)
Expo attendees who joined FAIR at the Los Angeles ADA Expo Convention
held in Long
Beach, CA. We
join
with all exhibitors in being most grateful to their ADA Marketing
Manager,
Donna Lieberman, for
the commendable manner in which she handled the exhibitors
and
six thousand attendees.
We are also extremely grateful to FAIR member Ellis Delameter who is seen in the
first picture
on the left with a new FAIR member. Ellis is a FAIR member who
volunteered to help our
President & CEO, Dr. Darling staff the booth and they signed up a new member,
on average,
every 1.5
minutes for six hours.
It is not uncommon for fellow exhibitors to join the FAIR
Foundation when they learn of the poor
funding for diabetics relative to HIV patients. Above left is an
exhibitor from the The NEW
Program,
which helps patients with weight loss recommendations and surgery,
and on the right is Nick Iosue of
CCS Medical
which provides quality diabetes supplies and healthcare products to help
diabetics lead
a healthier, more active life.
